PLAYOFF QUIZ ANSWERS

1.  Thoreau is 0-16.   Dulce is 0-11.
2.  Aztec won state in 1953, beating Ft. Sumner.  Since then they have lost 11 straight.
3.  Jal has played 81 playoff games.  Lovington has 73 (as of 11/20/11)
4.  Atrisco Heritage, Mora, Miyamura, Mescalero Apache, Magdalena, and Chapparal.  
5.  Anthony Gadsden has not made the playoffs since 1966.  As an Independent for many years they did play for the "Independent Championship" which was unofficial in 1983 and 1984.
6.  Of course the answer is Artesia High with 27 titles.  Even though the national record is 36 titles, those other schools were dominate programs in their respective states prior to 1950.
